Drip in the Wall Sound

Dear Pipey   
Q:I have a master bath with two sinks, on two opposing walls. This is the first floor. On only one faucet, after running the hot water only, I hear a drip for a cery long time thereafter. It is soft, in sounds as if in the wall and I can even hear it behind (seems) a linen closet on the same wall is it and the toilet. It is slow and soft and only happens with the hot water and only on that side. I do not see any water marks on the walls nor under the sink. My water heaters are farther in the attic. I had two plumbers come and check but it would not make the noise for them so the hot was turned off. The home was built in 1993.

Water Ghost 2

Dear FIT
Q.We have a dripping sound in the attic, but all of our pipes are under the bathroom floor. It seems to be right where the vent goes from the bathroom to the attic and then through the roof. There are no signs of leaks under the bathroom fixtures or on lower level ceilings.  We only hear the drip when we’ve run water in the sink for a while. Could something be obstructing the vent pipe and causing condensation to drip in the vent pipe?

Water Ghost 1

Dear FIT  
Q. After our faucet runs for a little while we hear a dripping noise at the top of the vent pipe near the roof. Sometimes no water has been running and a few drips will occur. We cannot find any leaks anywhere. Do you have any suggestions as to what this is and how it can be fixed?

Will the E-CAP fit?

Dear FIT   
Q.  Will the E-CAP fit my 3-inch Schedule 40 pipe? I think the outside diameter is bigger than 3?
